The enemy within  - Muslim fanatics in Australia

Martin Lehmann - 23 August 2005

A number of Muslims living in Australia openly flout our hospitality and tolerance while advocating the replacement of our democratic system with theocratic fascism.

Wassim Doureihi, the firebrand leader of the Australian branch of Hizb ut-Tahrir - the Party of Liberation- claims he is a Muslim first and an Australian second.

Doureihi has refused to condemn the September 11, Bali or London terror attacks. He asserts Muslims' rights to fight Western "oppressors". He claims suicide bombers were the reaction of Muslims to Western forces occupying their lands, including Iraq and Afghanistan, where Australian troops are stationed.

Australian-born of Lebanese parents, Doureihi said that just because Muslims were born in Australia "doesn't mean we have to accept these conditions".

It is possible that Doureihi's fanatical followers could be already fighting against Australian troops.

Hizb ut-Tahrir, a secretive and extremist Islamic organisation is banned in Pakistan, Russia and Germany. It is soon to be banned in the UK. It is part of a worldwide movement that aims to establish a Khilafah (Caliphate) State by merging all Muslim countries. The party was founded in 1952 in East Jerusalem by Sheikh an-Nabhani, who declared that every Muslim should strive to establish the caliphate.

The Hizb ut-Tahrir's model is a "righteous Caliphate" or the Islamic state that existed in the 7th and 8th century under Mohammad  and his first four successors - Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Usman and Hazrat Ali -, known as the "righteous Caliphs."

According to the Hizb ut-Tahrir literature, the Khilafah State represents the only true alternative to America and all that it stands for. "The Khilafah will implement Islam, unify Muslim lands and establish a unique civilization based on Islam that will present all of mankind with a true alternative to the imperialism of Western capitalism," it states.

This is what Doureihi and his fanatical followers have in store for us. They would not be here if they did not expect Australia to become a Muslim state.

According the Hizb ut-Tahrir website, millions of Muslims pray for the dominance of Islam over the kuffar (that's the rest of us).

Wassim Doureihi - leader of the Australian arm of Hezb ut-Tahrir - says he is a Muslim first and an Australian second.
